Look at me now!!

Look at me now. I'm 11 months locked. I am so pleased with my journey thus far. I've made an appointment with my consultant to get a retightening at my year mark. I've got enough new growth to go right now but I'm going to hold out till June.
Do anyone remember Prell shampoo? I remember my grandmother use to wash her hair with it. It really cleaned her hair. I loved the smell of her hair after she washed it. All she used was Prell and her hair was always soft after she pressed it. Well I found some at Walmart a couple of weeks ago. I remember hearing that it would strip perms and relaxer. I bought it and washed my hair. My hair was squeaky clean. After it dries, it is so soft.
I know I haven't posted in a while. Been really busy dealing with a few things. I will post at my year mark. Wow, thats in a couple of weeks.

8 months now

We are now 8 months old and I love them short! Hello ladies.I had my perm cut off at 7 months. I didn't think I was going to like it but I knew it was another stage I needed to go thru. I was ready to get rid of my perm. I just wasn't sure I'd like the short hair. My hair has never been this short. I LOVE IT!! I thought it was cute before I cut my perm off.It is the bomb now. You can really see the definition of my locs. I've gotten major compliments on them. My mom, who was totally against them, now likes them. One of my sister's is already contemplating locking in a few weeks. These pics were taken the end of Janurary, when I got my retightening and grooming. Since then, I have gotten another retightening. My hair is really growning. In these pics you can see that they hit above my eyebrow. They now come below my eyebrow. They are a man magnet!!
I still braid and band. I condition for the first time. OMG did that feel good. I will try to do it once a month for starters and work my way to twice a month. They even look good freshly washed and straight.

Almost 7 and still loving them

Hey Ladies! I don't have that much to update. I went a month without posting anything about my hair. Well not much has changed. I'm growing. I'm not posting pics this time on purpose. In the last post you can see how much growth I have. A few weeks ago, I cut a few locs in the front. I basically cut the perm off my ends. I was curious to see what it looked like. Very surprised at how much my hair had grown. Well in a few weeks, I'm going back to my consultant to get groomed and re tightened. It has been almost 7 months since she has done my hair so I thought I would let her cut my perm off. She's pretty excited but so am I. The reason I'm not posting pics now is because I want to wait until after my re tightening. Another reason is I'm at work and I don't have access to any new pics of me. Although I can take a few on my phone and post. I'm ranting aren't I? LOL..sorry!! I do that from time to time. Well ladies give me a few weeks and I will give you a new look for me. I can't believe I'm cutting already. My sister keeps telling me to wait but I am so tired of these straight ends.
